Dr. M is back in action again. Or all the while, his action has not stopped. With his latest article To Do What is Right, he made us proud again. I like him for being a consistent leader.

Do the right thing and always stand up for your decision to do the right thing. Because to quote Martin Luther King, Jr. “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends.”

Judge the candidates purely by merit and merit alone. Look at what you can do consistently and not only now.

A great leader never disappoint us.

每次翻开报纸副刊，都会看看一些投稿的作品。
今天看了一段，非常实在又感动的短文。实在于因为它就发生在我周围。
这封信，是阿姨写给妈妈的。

大姐，你走了！
但你优雅的身影在我脑海出现的频率，却远超咱们这些年来相处的次数！
过去，咱们只在过年过节，或刻意安排的出国旅行时，才会聚首畅述姐妹情。很随缘的相处，因为一直以为，相聚的时间还多着呢，还说好大家白发苍苍时，才携手游世界去。
造化弄人，谁都没有想过，你走得如此匆匆。
那天去圣王庙，看到你的骨灰翁搁在二楼一个挺杂乱的环境里，我有点气恼。
转念一想，你准会说：“水灾嘛！”摆出一幅既来之则安之的坚毅模样，我又觉得是自己太小气了。在你眼中，这准时不足挂齿的小事！
以前，我畏惧死亡。
你走后，我看清了死亡的真面目。原来，它没有走远也不可怕。它一直就在某个角落，几时召唤我们几时就得离开。它不可怕，因为有死我们才知道生的可贵。
我做人总是谨言慎行，连笑容也不敢太得意，怕活过得太尽。你离去，我学会把今天当作末日般，尽情的生活。

事情发生时，我也曾写了一些东西。就在一霎那能够接受和领悟，就是因为看了这一段话：

生死泰然

佛学就是生死学，例如观世音菩萨“救苦救难”，就是解决你生的问题；阿弥陀佛“接引往生”， 就是解决你死的问题。

生生死死，死死生生，如环形的钟表，如圆形的器皿，没有开始， 也没有结束。快乐人生当然畏惧死后痛苦，但如果“生死一如”，又何必“贪生怕死”呢？

The Way

痛

有时我在想：痛会痛到麻木的吗？
一痛再痛会有免疫能力吗？
应该不会吧？
如果一直痛，一直痛，一直痛，到最后会是怎样呢？

我想：痛了应该还会再痛的。
因为每一次都是不同的痛。今天肚子痛，明天头痛，后天脚痛，大后天牙痛，还有手痛，肩膀痛，牙龈痛，屁股痛，舌头痛，指甲痛。。。

我觉得自己幸福了，没有一次过全身上下一起痛，只是偶尔痛痛吧了，算得了什么呢？

阴阳水

做南朝北，最好坐在比较高的椅子上。每天早上一杯，可以滋阴补阳，提升运势。

Water

不久前看了一部 DVD。那是一部以印度文化为背景的印度戏，名为 WATER。
很喜欢以纪录片形式排的电影。娱乐之余也可了解人文。戏里描述了印度重男轻女的封建思想，及对女性的不公平待遇。因而遭到多方面的反对拍摄。

读一本书如走万里路，看一部戏如游百国家。

Set in 1938 Colonial India, against Mahatma Gandhi's rise to power, the story begins when eight-year-old Chuyia is widowed and sent to a home where Hindu widows must live in penitence. Leadership

Dr M (not the ex-prime minister) and his Lady are somebody I look forward to meet all the time. Dr M is a wise man and a good public speaker. He always say the right thing and he is a great leader. He is a respectful leader which he rightfully gains my respect because he respects youth leaders. He shares his experience with people but he also listen to his juniors.

Recently, he shared his vision in campaigning for the International Director position. He said “I have a dream” and he shared his dream with us. Every success starts with a dream. You put a dream into action and it is called a success.

A Lions Night

It’s an interesting evening.
I had a lot of fun meeting interesting people from all over the country. I miss those days traveling around the country meeting people who did bring an impact in the community. It is great to be inspired by leaders in the country, especially from people around me who can just be anybody. It is a great honor to meet them and a great motivation to become one of them.

I believe anyone can be a leader, anyone can be a good leader, it’s just the matter of quality in comparison. There is always a level higher than where you are. When you become the president of the club, you want to be the leader in your community, then the region, the district, the country, the world. It’s always a level higher for you to look on. There is never an end unless you decide to put an end to it.

Today I met Dato Danny Ooi, the person who holds the ownership of Malaysia Book of Record, also the ownership for the title of Miss Tourism Malaysia etc.

A little bit about How Dato Danny started Malaysia Book of Record:

He recalled seeing a man cycling for days at the Merdeka Stadium,trying to set a world record and, another individual, who travelled from state to state by walking. The letter was hoping his attempt could be entered in the Guinness Book of Records.Realising that none of these feats and attempts could be recorded or kept, Mr Ooi felt it was time that proper recognition should be given to such aspiration, effort and determination exhibited by Malaysians.

Today, I met him in a Lions function. He is a Lion campaigning for the position of Vice District Governor in our district. I like his campaign vision. In the past, when candidates campaigned they always say how they can make a difference to the community. Maybe more activities for youth? More projects to promote healthy eyesight? But this time Dato propose to rebrand Lions. He talks about branding. How to improve the image of Lions, to encourage greater support and participation, which in turn will benefit the community. I like the idea. He says “ It is not about what you want to do, it is about what you can do to make a difference.” Based on his expertise in branding, he promised to make an impact to put Lions at the top of the community.

This is what I see as leadership in management level. Manage your human resource and brand image, which will lead you to higher input. This is the fun part of meeting leaders. They share their way of success, where you might find one that is the key to your success.

Proud to be a Lion. Once a Lion, always a Lion.

It is not about pride. It is about being happy and contented.

Who are you VS Who you are

It does not matter what is your name. What matter most is your action which had caused an impact to the others.

Musée du Louvre

巴黎是美丽的艺术之都。走在这么有画意的街上，突然间也变得更有气质。也难怪他们的文学艺术那么的发达， 因为在这样的环境长大很难不掌握艺术的节奏。



它是电影 DA VINCI CODE 的主角。


曾经的那么轰动。


这是 Louvre 的主角，也是文明天下的一幅画。可是画的却是一位不知名的女人。

她是红的不明不白的 Mona Lisa。



这是我最喜欢的一幅画，也是最认真去欣赏的一幅画， 也是Louvre 里最大的一幅画。 The Wedding at Cana。

The painting depicts the wedding feast at Cana, a miracle story from the Christian New Testament. In the story Jesus and his disciples were invited to a wedding celebration in Cana, Galilee. Towards the end of the feast, when the wine was running out, Jesus commanded servants to fill jugs with water, which he turned into wine (his first miracle of seven).

当然还有除了埃及以外的另一个出名的金字塔。

Louvre Pyramid is the large metal and glass pyramid which serves as the main entrance to the Musée du Louvre and has in the meantime become a landmark for the city of Paris.
It has been claimed by some that the glass panes in the Louvre Pyramid number is exactly 666, "the number of the beast", often associated with Satan.

当然，还有 FAMOUS 的 MILO ~ Venus de Milo.

The Aphrodite of Milos, better known as the Venus de Milo, is an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. It is believed to depict Aphrodite (called Venus by the Romans), the Greek goddess of love and beauty. It is a marble sculpture, slightly larger than life size at 203 cm (80 inches) high. Its arms and original plinth have been lost.

我家刘帝

吓死我了！刘帝昨天半夜两点多，在我的床上吐了一滩黄色液体。就像痰一样，还参杂着一些泡泡。害得我半夜三更还要替他张罗抹嘴，害得我后来睡不着觉。Send 了个 sms 给 B 问他刘帝的事，早上的回复是：没什么，正常的。哦!

想到刘帝昨晚几次要吐却吐不出的样子，实在是戏剧化。整天粘着人不放，真会撒娇。是时候买新玩具了！
p/s ：我有提到吗？刘帝是我家的狗。

孟加拉之旅2

这是我住的旅店 – Hotel Sarina。


还蛮新的，去年才开张。最便宜的房间要美金 $120。蛮舒服的，就像这里4星级酒店吧。虽然孟加拉是个缺水缺电的国家，可是酒店设备还是正常。有水有电，水不会小，热水也有。

酒店在Banami 区，这里出名大学。单这条街就有好几间，全在一栋栋的办公楼里。 进出都是有钱人的小孩，个个都是斯文大学生。有帅的！

孟加拉共有 6间政府大学，54 间私立大学。别问我哪里知道那么多，我可是有 research 得哦！ （其实是在孟加拉的报纸上读到的）。翻了两天孟加拉的报纸，认识了很多孟加拉人的想法。 孟加拉这么多大学的原因是：想深造的人很多，可是政府大学没有办法收这么多学生，所以很多有钱人都进私立。这54间大学还不包括学院。


刚到孟加拉时是半夜1点钟，整个城市好像停电般。很少街灯，屋子灯也很少很暗。感觉他们好像家里都点蜡烛般。原来是执政军人新策略，所有商店在晚上7 时后必须关店，以节省能源。所以晚上街上很静，大家下了班便回家，没有娱乐。孟是回教国家，几乎没有夜生活。我问 Sakri（迎接我们的agent ）, 你们晚上都做什么？他答，没什么，回家看新闻，睡觉。晚上应该只有保龄球场有开吧！

我说孟加拉“什么都有，什么都没有”的原因是：只要有钱你要什么都有，可是就是没有可以选择的。例如：你要喝可乐，有！可是只有可口可乐，没有百世可乐。明白了吗？ 所以它不是完全不能住的地方，它是能住但没有选择的地方。

穷就是穷，在那里没有翻身的机会。有钱的，再怎么有钱也只是在孟加拉。出了孟加拉，他就差了。没有选择。

孟加拉的 cricket 是有名的。因为这使它得到世界级的光荣，是它们唯一可以骄傲的地方。 报章写道：看着球员的胜出，他们是无比的赞叹。不管是侍应生，大学生， 有钱，没钱，这是他们共同骄傲的地方。

我都说了，要支持有坚持的人。

孟加拉之旅 1

这次短暂孟加拉之旅，第一个感觉是：赞！

没有人会明白为什么我会要去孟加拉。就算是免费的也好，也没有人会想到要去那个国家。

孟加拉给我的第一个感觉是：它充满政治，主见，求生与活在现实。
目前的孟加拉没有政府，由军人操控。人民非常开心因为之前政府贿赂，人民非常贫穷。现在军人在抓拿之前的政府官员，要把他们抓进监牢后，就组织新政府。多么见义勇为。想想这么贫穷的国家，人们顾这自己的三餐都有问题时，竟然也会关心政治问题的存在，可见他们的思想是多么的开发。

孟加拉的治安非常好，就算国家没有工作，人民贫穷，人又多，可是人民不偷，不抢，行乞也很少。他们赚。 十岁小孩会拿着一束玫瑰花在大马路通街走，车子停着时就上前敲敲窗口销售。他们可能用4 Taka 买这束花，再用6 Taka 卖，从中赚 2 Taka。 艰苦的生活条件，显示了他们的聪明。他们求生意志非常强，从来没有放弃生命。我没有因为他们的困苦可怜他们，反而对他们的坚强感动。生活就是活在现实中。

相信的东西都是假的，想要得到的东西都让我失望。
如果生活是活在失望中，那就根本不应该有期望。
所以我没有期望，才不会失望。
我是用逻辑思考的人。

生活没有期望，那生活意义何在？

孟加拉之旅

孟加拉之旅，我回来了。

好多人问：好不好玩？
我答：好玩。
又问：真的吗？
又答：哈哈，真的。
又问：那你问什么笑？
又答：真的很好玩。

到底有什么好玩呢？因为他什么都有，什么都没有。所以好玩。

白痴

为什么烟花射不到星星？

Bangladesh

In 12 hours time, I’ll be landing in Bangladesh.

I’ll be in Dhaka, finding my way between these Bangladeshi.

I’ll take my main mission in Dhaka as to capture some interesting life sight.

Airport?
The Zia airport. Review from http://www.sleepinginairport.net/ says that the airport is like “Fall of Saigon or one of those 1980s movies set in southeast Asia where half the population is trying to flee the country during a coup”. So? Take care.

Hotel?
There are not many choices. Hopefully will be staying in Sheraton, where reviews says its much better than the Pan Pacific due to recent renovation. They also said that when they say 5 stars, do not compare with 5 stars in other country, its Bangladesh after all. So? Expect the worst. Even better, should stay at Radisson Water Garden Hotel at Airport Road.

Places of Interest
Nothing much of interest from my research, except for the famous fort? The museum? Dhaka University? Ok, maybe some shopping for Sari? Shalwar Kameez? And their famous pink pearl.

Food?
Curry, curry and CURRY ! Even their Chinese restaurant serves curry. An aunt who had visit Bangladesh requested “help me to go to market buy some cabbage”. What’s so special bout their cabbager? “Its HUGE and crunchy!” Oh, but why does Bangla has such nice cabbager? “Its imported from China!”. Laugh.

Traffic?
Expect bad traffic. The roads will be a mess of human and ‘tu-tu’ cars, trishaws and man-pulled carts/lorries. How bad? My aunt said that it took her 2 hours for a 5 km ride.

Currency?
RM 1 = 18 Taka

Tips: Do not try to give money to beggars. Drink only mineral water because all water is contaminated. Use mineral water to brush teeth.

What else to expect?
Generally, expect polluted air (get your mask ready), Bad traffic (human traffic), insects and flies, and lots of Bangladeshi. Expect flood during raining seasons. If the water level raise by 1m, 10% of Bangladesh is flooded. So, most of the time the city is in water.

Oh ya, forgot to mention, my official mission there will be to interview some workers to work in Malaysia. Heard that for them to come to work in Malaysia, one have to pay RM8-9k to the agent. Meaning, the whole family will have to sell their paddy field, their house, their everything for one of their family member to come work here in Malaysia. Pity.

Also, this trip will be FOC fully sponsored by the agent. Air ticket alone cost RM1.6k per person including airport taxes. Fly by MAS.

本地电视节目

样YOUNG 轰到底在讨论本地电视节目，主播与观众。讨论的问题包括节目抄袭外国，主持人表现，观众反映。很喜欢最终的结论 – 人的素质问题。
总觉得一生中想要追求的最终还是知识。智慧。想念小学老师在成绩册的一句话 ：知识广博，再接再厉。做个有内涵的人吧。

生活如果不是活在当下，是何时？

如果要问我世上最美丽的东西是什么，我的答案应该不是花草，不是海洋天空。世上最美的东西应该是一个字 -- 情。

再美的东西，如果没有用心去体会，没有对它产生一定的感情，彩虹也只是彩虹。用美丽的心情去看一片彩虹，黑白的彩虹也会觉得色彩缤纷。想想，自己有没有一刻是脑与心就像靠在一起般，突然脑子一晃，眼前一亮，突然领悟到一些道理？也许这就是一时的成长。有时在做着某些东西，看着电影，突然放下了一直耿耿于怀的事情。

我喜欢抽象的东西，总觉得就因为它没有一定的格式，个人对它的定义才是联系着你与它的那一条线。充满个人色彩的东西，在世间就显得格外出众。情，就是可以给人抽象又神秘的感觉。永远没有答案，永远续不完的情。

每天吵着生活没有life。也许吵着吵着的时候就是life。
